My Fees (NEW DRAFT)
Trust and understanding form the foundation of every successful working relationship between therapist and client.
With this in mind, I provide clear and transparent information about fees and offer the flexibility of evening and weekend appointments.
I also offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation prior to booking a paid session which can be used to discuss how I might help you, and to answer any questions.
What is a mental health clinical assessment and why is it important?
A mental health clinical assessment is an integral part of the therapy process as it gathers comprehensive information about the individual’s overall wellbeing (mental, physical, social, medical, emotional and behavioural functioning).
Conducted by a trained mental health professional, it underpins the accurate diagnosis of conditions such as generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, body dysmorphia, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic & agoraphobia, depression, eating disorders, substance abuse, personality disorders, ADHD, autism etc.
Key elements of a mental health clinical assessment may include interviews (structured and semi-structured), standardised tests, observations and a detailed history of familial mental health (genetic & environmental), so that therapy outcomes can be optimised.
It is also a faster, thorough and more accurate way to identify any co-existing mental health conditions, as this can pose additional challenges. Treatment plans need to be tailored to address each disorder effectively. Integrated or simultaneous treatment for each condition is often necessary to achieve the best results.
